My name is Lauren and I have been working with dogs for ten years now when I started my dog walking and grooming business. It was always a dream to work with dogs so I started with dog walking, then qualified as a dog groomer shortly after. My business has grown massively and has been hugely successful but I found I was working more and more with dogs showing behaviours such as aggression and reactivity. I started structured group walks and soon found teaching the dogs to co-exist around each other made them all calm and confident in each others company meaning the reactive behaviours and aggression would slowly disappear. This started my interest in dog training even more so I began to learn and study as much as possible in both training and behaviour. With both the theory I have learnt from my studies and the practical experience I have gained from my ten years of working with many different breeds and behavioural problems I became ready to start my dog training business offering 1-2-1 training sessions, puppy socialisation packages, pack walks and residential training.

I have three of my own dogs, German shepherds Shadow aged 8, Bear aged 6 and Koda aged 2. In my spare time I love attending training classes and workshops with them. Training my own dogs is my passion. Shadow has trained in  working trials, competition obedience, tracking and scentwork. Bear has trained in mantrailing and scentwork and I am currently learning IGP dog sport with Koda, training him in all three disciplines of the sport.. tracking, obedience and protection. I have gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience In dog training and behaviour from my own dogs and the wonderful trainers I have met with them all.

Experience and qualifications.....

• I have a distinction diploma in canine psychology and behaviour

• I am a fully qualified dog training instructor with the academy of dog behaviour training

• I have attended a dog training instructor course at Writtle college

• I regularly attend workshops in specialist canine behaviour subjects such as aggression, reactivity and impulse control

• I am currently working my way through level 4 and 5 courses with the Cambridge institute of dog behaviour and training

• I am also currently working towards a level 5 degree in applied canine behaviour with Compass college

• I have a distinction diploma in canine nutriton

• I am fully qualified in professional dog grooming with a diploma from Stonebridge college

• I am currently a volunteer for the German shepherd rescue elite

• I have volunteered at local dog training classes to gain handling experience

• I have also worked at a local breeding kennels to gain experience in puppy development and socialisation
